Maurice A.
Private tutor in Santa Fe, Argentina
Education
Master's Degree in Theology at the Pontifical University of Chile (2011). Bachler's Degree in Religious Studies at the Pontifical University of Valparaiso (2005). I was a visiting scholar at the University of America, Washington D.C. (2015). Due to personal reasons, I didn't finish my Ph. D. studies at the Pontifical University of Salamanca (Spain).
Experience
I specialized in Catholic theology, and even more specifically in dogma and ethics. My greatest contribution to students is my diverse hands-on experience in pastoral activities and counseling in poor neighborhoods and prisons in Chile, where theological principles were questioned and put into practice by life itself. Another interesting contribution I can make to students is my Latin American theological perspective. Latin American theology has influenced many "liberation" theologies that are gaining adherence around the world. I don't necessarily prescribe to liberation theology, but its influence in Latin American theology is undeniable, and I believe this is a great asset. I was a professor from 2009-2017 at the Pontifical University of Valparaiso (Chile) and in diverse adult learning centers. I especially worked in the School of Architecture and Design, where we used modern art and literature to explore theological questions.

Hobbies
I live in a rural town in Argentina with my wife and daughter. After many years of service in vulnerable neighborhoods through Catholic charity organizations, we decided to escape city life and move to my wife's hometown to live a quieter life. I dedicate my free time to studying web-development and teaching English online to students from China.
